Spotlight on Our Rottweil Test Tower: Continuing to Capture Press Attention

Our Test Tower in Rottweil recently took center stage with ZDF, one of Germany’s most prominent TV channels.

Known for pushing boundaries in elevator technology, the Tower welcomed a crew from PUR+, a youth-oriented show that educates younger audiences (ages 9-17) on science and technology.

Hosted by our Tower Manager, Beate, the day was a dynamic blend of education and exploration. The crew dived into the mechanics of elevators, even filming a scene on what happens when someone gets stuck. With insights from two of our TKE service technicians, the team got a close-up look at the cutting-edge elevator tests and technology that our Tower is known for.

Media have shown growing interest in our Test Tower, making it a hub of attention across the European continent and beyond as a symbol of innovative design and engineering. This broadcast, which airs in the coming weeks, offers a great showcase for TKE’s team and the incredible work happening at Rottweil. It’s also a fun way for our German-speaking team members and their families to see what we’re up to on the big screen!

Opened in 2017, our Rottweil Tower stands at an impressive 246 meters and has twelve testing shafts designed to advance the elevator technology of tomorrow. It’s a marvel of modern engineering, allowing TKE to test elevators at exhilarating speeds of up to 18 meters per second! Additionally, three of the shafts are dedicated to our pioneering MULTI system.
