ThyssenKrupp Elevator strengthens elevator business in Switzerland
ThyssenKrupp Aufzüge AG, Rümlang/Switzerland, a subsidiary of ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG, Düsseldorf, recently acquired Trapo Küng AG in Basel. This acquisition allows ThyssenKrupp Aufzüge to further expand its position on the Swiss elevator installation and maintenance market. Trapo Küng?s business activities will continue unchanged and the Basel and Zwingen locations will be retained. ThyssenKrupp Aufzüge guarantees a nationwide service organization.
Trapo Küng was established as a family business in 1951. The company has around 100 employees and is involved in the production, installation and maintenance of elevators and lifting platforms of various kinds. The Swiss company?s activities are divided equally between production/installation and maintenance/repair. Trapo Küng has a maintenance portfolio of over 5,500 installations in Switzerland, including around 1,500 elevators.
