ThyssenKrupp Elevator wins order for new prestige hotel & casino in Las Vegas

Las Vegas, probably the most visited city in the USA with 35 million guests per year, is to get a superlative new hotel & casino called "Le Reve". With 49 stories, this prestige property will be one of the tallest hotels in the capital of gambling. ThyssenKrupp Elevator in the USA has beaten off strong competition to win the contract to equip the hotel & casino with 90 elevators and 4 escalators. The "high-rise" elevators are designed for 49 stories and the fastest will reach a speed of six meters per second. The elevators will be built at ThyssenKrupp Elevator in Middleton/Tennessee and the escalators will be supplied from ThyssenKrupp Fahrtreppen in Hamburg.

Le Reve, French for "the dream", will make dreams come true in the truest sense of the word. The luxury hotel is being built on the site where once the legendary Desert Inn stood. As well as a large casino, the complex will feature an international standard golf course and a high end shopping mall including a Ferrari and Maserati car dealership. The hotel building will consist of two giant futuristic towers.

Le Reve is not ThyssenKrupp Elevator`s first project in Las Vegas. Elevators and escalators from the company can be found in many of the city`s well-known hotels, including the Mirage, made famous by Siegfried & Roy, the New York New York, which is a detailed reproduction of this city, the pirate-style Treasure Island, the Excalibur and the top-ranking Bellagio.
