Frequently asked questions about switching elevator maintenance contracts
How complicated is switching to TK Elevator as my new lift maintenance provider?
Switching to TK Elevator (TKE) for the maintenance of your elevator is designed to be seamless and straightforward. We have streamlined processes to ensure minimal disruption, making the transition as smooth as possible. Start by compiling an overview of your current contracts, expiration dates and auto-renewal clauses. An important aspect is timing: Most lift service contracts run on a calendar-year basis with a notice period of several months (minimum: three). This means starting to look for a new maintenance provider in October may be too late. Our checklist will help you.Feel free to contact us for support.
Who covers the warranty if I switch from the original lift manufacturer to a new service company?
We're known for customer relationships at eye level and for our transparency. That's why our open and honest answer to this question is: As long as the warranty for your new lift from the original manufacturer applies, it is in your best interest to not risk voiding it. Allowing a third party to perform maintenance and repairs could be excluded in the warranty conditions. That said, it is generally possible to buy a new lift from company A and get maintenance service from company B from the start while the product still carries a warranty from company A. Of course, you can check the conditions in your contract and discuss a follow-up service contract with TK Elevator to benefit from our unique multi-brand service capabilities. Call or e-mail us, if you have any questions.
