TK Elevator enhances mobility at VCU Health
RICHMOND, Va., May 22, 2024 – TK Elevator, a global leader in mobility solutions, is proud to announce the company will continue its ongoing partnership with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Health. The company has successfully completed two new installations and 10 modernizations, with plans to modernize five additional elevators annually.
In addition to the new installation projects, TK Elevator has modernized 10 elevators, integrating advanced microprocessor controllers that drives the functionality of an elevator system. This modernization initiative reflects the company’s dedication to ensuring safe and state-of-the-art transportation solutions.
In total, VCU Health utilizes TK Elevator for the service and maintenance of 122 elevators and three escalators, originally supplied by a wide array of original equipment manufacturers. This is a testament to TK Elevator’s commitment to Universal Service, which promises to support any brand of equipment, any place, and at any time.
This extensive project features newly installed evolution elevators in the Adult Outpatient Pavilion and the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU’s Children’s Tower with several featuring AGILE destination dispatch kiosks. The technology optimizes passenger flow by grouping individuals based on their destination, further enhancing the efficiency of the hospital’s vertical transportation system. It also showcases TK Elevator’s commitment to support VCU Health’s mission to provide top-tier medical services through improved accessibility and mobility within its establishments.
