This passenger elevator system’s two independent cars operate one on top of the other in the same hoist way. The innovation is the elevator industry’s first of its kind as both elevators utilize the same guide rails and landing doors.

With TWIN, each of the two cars are designed with their own respective controller, counterweight, ropes, traction drive, and governor. While it may appear to be an unconventional method, the TWIN elevator has a TUV-tested safety concept which meet all requirements—including the strictest specifications.

Equipped with a Destination Selection control system, intelligent dispatching within the TWIN elevators will group passengers together based on their destination. This will help to increase the flow of foot traffic and can transport up to 40% more passengers than other elevators.
