TK Elevator provides sustainable mobility and maximum ride comfort at FOUR in Frankfurt
- TK Elevator will provide 57 high-performance elevators and escalators to the latest addition to Frankfurt’s iconic skyline
- State-of-the-art digital solutions ensure flawless in-house mobility
Düsseldorf, December 1, 2021 – TK Elevator’s new high-speed model series momentum will be added to Germany’s skyscraper city Frankfurt. The company is providing a total of 53 high-end elevators and 4 escalators to the high-rise project FOUR in the German financial capital. The momentum series combines high performance, energy efficiency and a superior ride quality. At the same time, the first IoT predictive maintenance solution MAX enables service technicians to significantly reduce downtime.
Several other TK Elevator products played a crucial part in the project’s design. The space-saving TWIN elevators, customized exclusively for the tower, had a direct impact on the architecture of the 233-meter-tower T1. The reduction in the required number of shafts enables a smaller building core, offering shorter waiting times – due to two cars operating one on top of the other in the same shaft – and ensuring maximum user comfort. Another highlight in project FOUR: A large number of the 53 elevators is connected to the building with state-of-the-art smart technology and is equipped with the intelligent dispatching software AGILE for greater efficiency. In addition, two foyer entrances arranged one above the other on separate floors – so far still a novelty in Germany – are connected by two elegant velino escalators that can accommodate up to 3,000 passengers per hour.
Peter Walker, CEO of TK Elevator, says: "We are pleased that our broad product portfolio for high-rise buildings has met the unique needs of the Frankfurt FOUR project. Our innovative products and digital solutions ensure lower space and power consumption, thereby also increasing the value of the property in the long-term. In addition, all elevators and escalators will have a minimal carbon footprint and thus support FOUR to meet the most advanced sustainability standards.”
FOUR adds to TK Elevator's list of prestigious global references in the high-rise segment, ranging from 1WTC in New York to the European Central Bank in Frankfurt.
