TK Elevator Secures Record Service Tender in Denmark with Universal Service Platform

  • Elevator service contract covers approximately 3,000 units across the country.
  • ‘Universal Service by TK Elevator’ support model highlighted as decision driver.

Düsseldorf, June 20, 2024 – TK Elevator, a global leader in urban mobility solutions, announces a landmark achievement with the largest service tender ever secured in Europe. Awarded by the State and Municipalities' Procurement Service (SKI), the significant contract underscores TK Elevator's strong service capabilities and commitment to excellence.

The comprehensive service agreement spans multiple years and includes the maintenance of approximately 3,000 elevator units across key geographical areas nationwide. Covered facilities include the Danish Parliament, the Royal palaces, Royal Theater Copenhagen, and many ministries.

TK Elevator’s high share of the overall tender, which covered over 5,000 units, showcases the company’s customer-centric approach and operational excellence.

“We are bringing a whole new level of support to SKI through our exclusive Universal Service approach,” said Bora Gülan, CEO of TK Elevator in Europe and Africa. “Combining the power of our International Technical Services, our extensive range of stocked spare parts, and our expert global technicians, we can provide high-quality service to any mobility product line around the world.”

Enhancing Denmark's Public Mobility and Growth

TK Elevator plans to expand its workforce in Denmark to support the contract. New roles will include technicians, supervisors, and administrative resources to maintain high standards of service for covered units.

Alexander Heinz, managing director of TK Elevator in Denmark added, “We are not only honored that SKI entrusts TK Elevator to help maintain Denmark's public infrastructure but also excited to provide local and regional job growth to support this important partnership.”

“All elevators and lifts must be maintained and inspected to ensure top safety. The new agreement focuses on greater user-friendliness and transparency in covered services with competitive supplier pricing,” says Christian Lunding, procurement director of SKI.

Staten og Kommunernes indkøbsservice (SKI) creates financial flexibility and sustainable procurement solutions in collaboration with the public sector in Denmark. SKI achieves this by developing procurement agreements within IT, goods, and services that support greener procurement and ensure good quality at the best possible price.
