EOX Renew fits your older building's need for an upgrade

Replacing an outdated elevator or adding a lift to a building that had none is often embedded in a larger property refurbishment or renovation. EOX Renew is engineered to help you achieve all the goals associated with a successful and lasting upgrade: It's designed to adapt to your architecture, making the best use of available space, but with the smallest structural alterations. It returns an optimum value for money while boosting the overall value of your building. It's energy efficient and digital, and it provides universal accessibility, satisfying the basic human need for freedom to move from place to place.

Scenario 1: Replace any old elevator and maximise on space

EOX Renew can replace any old residential elevator in its application range. It will fit right where the previous one was, but thanks to its super-compact industrial design, it fills the existing shaft much more efficiently and offers up to 50% more cabin space. You will even regain the machine room for your use (e.g. as a storage room), because the entire drivetrain is placed inside the shaft, while the super-slim controller cabinet is integrated at the top-floor landing. Beyond the space gains, transplanting EOX Renew into the heart of your older building will deliver state-of-the-art safety, reliability, energy-efficiency, code-conformity, and the comfort and convenience of a future-proof, natively digital elevator.

Scenario 2: Add a new elevator to boost accessibility and value

If your building has no elevator at all, EOX Renew will integrate seamlessly, either inside (e.g. in the staircase) or on the exterior (e.g. front façade or inner courtyard). In a concrete, brickwork or glazed metal shaft it will just blend in with your building's architecture, like it had always been an integral part of it. Thanks to its large variety of configurations and adjustable cabin sizes, your individual EOX Renew comes tailored to the exact dimensions your building needs. The most compact EOX Renew stands on a footprint of just 1.5 m². However, the positive impact it will have on your property is everything but tiny! A building that provides easy, efficient mobility is highly valued by its residents – and it also can command an up to 40% higher market price.

Passengers mainly perceive a lift as the cabin they board and ride to their destination. But the elevator shaft around is actually full of technical gear, often taking up more space than the cabin itself. EOX Renew is a true space saver – both by design and by default. Its compact shaft equipment guarantees almost two thirds of space for the cabin. And by default, the cabin dimensions can be adjusted in 10 mm steps to leave no gap unused. When EOX Renew replaces your old elevator in an existing shaft, transport capacity increases substantially (e.g. from 4 to 6 passengers). And when retrofitted, you can be certain the area you spared for EOX Renew will be used to the max!

Ensures everything is in position

Today's new buildings meet a ton of regulations and adhere to global design best practices; so do elevator products for new buildings. Go back a few decades, and it's all very different and less standardised. The ability to bring today's mobility standards to a century-old building, without requiring a complete makeover, is what distinguishes EOX Renew. It's designed to always adapt to the given. For example, its landing fixtures can be placed directly on the door frame, but also on the building wall to use existing lead-through openings. Unlike standard elevators, EOX Renew allows a millimeter-exact adjustment of the door position. This enables the reutilisation of an existing shaft's openings or a line up of the entrance precisely with staircase landings or a row of windows to be used for a retrofit.

Follows your path to accessibility, even around the corner

With most elevators in buildings, a level path to all of its floors springs open. It's continuosly flat to walk or drive with a buggy or wheelchair. In a building that was initially erected without an elevator, this essential path needs to be established in retrospect, on the vertical and horizontal planes. The lift itself needs somewhere to go up and down, and passengers need space to access the elevator cabin. EOX Renew literally opens the doors to all possibilities, because it allows for three entrance configurations instead of just the usual two: It can have a single entrance to access the cabin, a double entrance with two doors opposite each other, and even a double entrance "around the corner" with doors located at 90° next to each other.

It’s also a modern digital platform that makes vertical mobility more convenient by unlocking the digital dimension of accessibility, passenger comfort and smart maintenance. To deliver all of that in one package, EOX Renew makes premium specs a standard, such as: a regenerative drive that recuperates braking energy, a unique eco-mode that saves electricity during off-peak hours, powerful digital hardware that's ready for IoT and AI, and a 7" multimedia display in the cabin, displaying the weather, breaking news and even building-specific announcements for residents.

A lift that loves smartphones

Buttons to push, indicator panels showing travel direction, a physical maintenance logbook – all the things you're familiar with when handling elevators as a passenger or building manager remain present and unchanged with EOX Renew. But it's also an elevator for today's smartphone era! Using our AGILE Mobile app, passengers can call an elevator ride from their smartphone while on their way in or out of the building. Property managers have access to the secure TKE Customer Portal to check performance data incl. an energy consumption report, and can stay up-to-date on the elevator status with critical alerts and notifications.

A smooth and reliable ride

With their engineering refinements and digital capabilities, our EOX family of elevators for low- to mid-rise buildings are not only great to ride in, but also to service and maintain. The German-made drive, that uses belt technology instead of steel ropes, delivers an exceptionally comfortable ride and precise levelling at each landing. EOX Renew also includes several smart sensors to ensure maximum safety and reliability, such as an accelerometer to constantly check the movement of the cabin and the doors for anything out of the ordinary. And in the rare event of a malfunction, cloud-assisted diagnostics enable our experienced maintenance technicians to rapidly identify the cause and quickly get the elevator up and running again.

A sustainability choice

EOX Renew is made in Europe where TK Elevator's manufacturing centres obtain 100% of their electricity from renewable sources. It will ship directly from our factory to your building, where it will provide energy-efficient mobility: Compared to our own previous offerings for the same segment and usage category (125 trips per day, 450 kg, 6 persons, 12 m, 5 stops, ISO 25745-2), EOX Renew consumes 28% less energy. When it replaces a typical old hydraulic or geared-drive elevator, the energy consumption of EOX Renew will on average be just half (hydraulic) or as low as one third (geared) of the old lift. But it's not only the new lift that saves energy and therefore reduces your carbon footprint. It is also the decision to upgrade your property; by keeping older buildings attractive, valuable materials and energy are saved compared to new construction.
