Buildings above a certain height are required to have a dedicated lift that is specifically equipped to be used by firefighters in the event of a building fire or other emergency. EOX can be configured to meet the requirements set out in the EN 81-72 standard for firefighter elevators.

The stainless steel cabin ceiling incorporates a 700×500 mm emergency trap door with an integrated telescopic ladder, enabling firefighters to access the shaft.
The EOX firefighter elevator is available with the modular Series 50 landing operating panels which allow for a combination of buttons, key switches and/or an auxiliary display. Standard-supplied buttons are our vandal-resistant VB02.
The firefighter access box hosts the activation key switch for the fireman service and the intercom between the evacuation landing and the elevator cabin.
In the evacuation landing of a firefighter elevator, a large landing indicator panel on the door lintel is mandatory. TKE's glass-covered LIP 50 informs passengers of the current floor level position and travel direction of the elevator with the help of illuminating arrows and an TFT display.
In a firefighter lift configuration, EOX is exclusively available with stainless steel cabin walls with either a brushed or linen finish.
For the EOX firefighting elevator a total of 5 mirror options are available for both single and double entrance cabins.
The EOX firefighter lift cabin can be equipped with stainless steel handrails on 1 or 3 cabin walls.
To enable operation in smoky and damp conditions, the EOX firefighter lift meets IPX3 protection requirements for electrical components in the shaft and cabin.
