Inside the IQC: International Technical Services

In 2018, TK Elevator announced the construction of a massive new headquarters overlooking Truist Park in Atlanta. This year the project came to fruition, debuting to the public in February. The complex spreads over multiple buildings providing ample office space for employees as well as the Innovation and Qualification Center (IQC) which houses the largest elevator test tower in North America, a showroom of the company’s extensive history and TK Elevator’s International Technical Services.

What Is International Technical Services?

ITS is a global network of elevator engineers and experts who are readily available to help support our technicians. This network is a resource that has proven itself to be invaluable to the mechanics who perform service, repairs and modernizations. ITS specialists are thoroughly trained to aid field technicians for all elevators, escalators and moving walkways.

Not only does ITS stay current and up to date on the latest techniques in maintenance, but they guarantee that our field technicians are as well. Changing code requirements and new methods for keeping passengers safe are simple to keep up with when a technician has ITS to back them. This includes retaining information on every elevator from every manufacturer so that the job is done as efficiently as possible.

In order to minimize downtime as much as possible, ITS also boasts a large selection of spare parts and supports TK Elevator’s local branches by having these ready. This ensures that we have parts for elevators from all manufacturers and that they can be replaced swiftly by a trusted technician.
