The AGILE lesson of Classroom On Demand teaches that AGILE is a Destination Control system that groups passengers together to provide the shortest wait and ride times possible. AGILE In-Car is an additional device that can be paired with the AGILE system implemented into your elevator.
AGILE In-Car is technically two devices. One is the car target indicator, and the other is the car-operation panel. The car target indicators are located in the elevator car door jamb and are key tools, since the device can be used as a car-riding lantern in traditional dispatching (ETA). It can also be used as a target indicator to provide visual confirmation of the destination floors in destination dispatching mode (ETD).
Destination Select and Destination Complete are the two car operating panel options. For Destination Select, every floor button is visible so that passengers can select their destination in the car, and the kiosks which come with AGILE are only available on certain floors. Destination Complete leaves zero floor buttons visible to the passenger, and the floor destinations are chosen at the kiosks before entering the elevator car.
