Hydraulic Conventional Jack

A conventional jack is a type of hydraulic elevator mechanism with many components which must be installed below ground level.

This requires digging large holes which house the various components of the jack. Major components of a conventional jack include:

  • Plunger
  • Jack Head
  • Cylinder
  • Pit Channel
  • Concrete Cap
  • Pit Floor
  • Steel Casing
  • Bottom Seal

Conventional elevator jacks can either be a single-piece jack or a multi-section jack, which is more common when higher travel distances are required.
